Reiki is a healing art that promotes relaxation, well-being and energetic healing. It is a form of healing energy that emits from the hands of an attuned Reiki practitioner. Reiki is practiced in many of our local hospitals today because of it’s many benefits. Reiki was rediscovered in the late 1800’s by Dr. Mikao Usui and it is taught today thoughout the world by Reiki Master teachers. A Reiki Session is approximately one hour. During a Reiki Treatment you are fully clothed and relaxing on a massage table. Your Reiki practitioner will gently place their hands above or on the appropriate areas that need attention. You will find the treatment to be very comfortable, soothing and relaxing.
Many of Cheryl’s clients enjoy having a combination of the healing Reiki energy along with their Reflexology Session. The therapy time is the same and includes the warm towels and foot massage with the Reflexology portion of the treatment. Cheryl Beshada is a Reiki Master Teacher who practices and teaches Reiki at Clinical Care Network. She has also provided services for some of the local hospitals as well as Universal Hospice.
The following 5 precepts were given by Dr. Usui, the founder of the Usui System of Reiki.
